What interests you about metalwork?

I enjoy practical work where I can learn techniques and create physical objects. I would like to learn endangered techniques along my career to preserve historical and integral British crafts, for example diamond cutting, if possible. I am particularly inspired by historical examples of jewellery and metalwork in museums and would like to achieve a foundation of knowledge (for example, by learning setting techniques and working with wax) that would allow me to create work of similar professional standard.
